What Safe Homes Means To Me ~ by Jenna Plamer

When I'm not there,
I'm missing you.
When I am here,
My smiles are few.
But I keep going
And it helps by showing
Why you mean so much
to me.
Every week,
As days go by,
I think of how
You make me fly;
I share the hope
that you give me
By telling all
So they can see.
That one day;
For those few hours
I feel happy
Thank the powers.
I never thought
I would fit in
The relief;
I don't know where to begin.
The place
people
message
hope
love
the care
it will always be there.
A Refuge
A Home
A Place just to BE
I feel comfortable,
Safe,
not judged,
loved,
cheerished,
I can be who I want to be.
This is what SAFE HOMES
means to me.

Safe Homes ~ a poem by Meg Doherty

It’s not just a place, it is a home,
It’s where friendship starts,
It’s where the drama ends,
Where the story of life begins,
Where family is made,
Where hope begins to shine in on life,
This unique place has a gift of love,
Where the respect and kindness is found,
Where the hearts begin to heal,
Where the pride and joy is shown,
Where you learn the meaning of love,
This is Safe Homes, come and be a part of this home.
