What Safe Homes Means To Me ~ by Jenna Plamer

When I'm not there,
I'm missing you.
When I am here,
My smiles are few.
But I keep going
And it helps by showing
Why you mean so much
to me.
Every week,
As days go by,
I think of how
You make me fly;
I share the hope
that you give me
By telling all
So they can see.
That one day;
For those few hours
I feel happy
Thank the powers.
I never thought
I would fit in
The relief;
I don't know where to begin.
The place
people
message
hope
love
the care
it will always be there.
A Refuge
A Home
A Place just to BE
I feel comfortable,
Safe,
not judged,
loved,
cheerished,
I can be who I want to be.
This is what SAFE HOMES
means to me.
